Lollipop was a giant return to form for the Meat Puppets. Lollipop revived a lot of what was epic about the SST records from the 80s: Melodic folk pop sprinkled with psychedelic guitars, off-the-wall songwriting, and traditional three-minute verse-chorse-verse pop structures. Lollipop is the most focused effort from the band since Too High to Die and they would improve further on their next record Rat Farm.

Track Pick: Shave It
Gems: Lantern, Spider and the Spaceship
