Pretty good album. The heavy use of Mellotron and Fender Rhodes keyboard sounds (along with the occasional psychedelic guitar leads and laid-back, "mellow" vocal stylings) are meant to transport you back into the early 1970s and the peak years of West Coast pop, but the big problem with this is that the record always finishes and you realize you're not in the late 1970s, you're in a modern dystopian hellscape of mass idiocy and oppression which no amount of retro-vibe ear candy can change. So, you'll probably want to at least know that going in.
