Nice sounding album with a couple outstanding tracks (Halah, She Hangs Brightly, Ghost Highway, Before I Sleep), nothing mind-blowing, but I liked listening to it.
simple but good
Their best album with one of the best opening tracks I've ever heard
Would fit in nicely with the folk singers of the past. No fills here - just simple guitar and Ms. Sandoval's ethereal voice. Great stuff.

Drifting through the foggy haze, the ship found itself being drawn to shore by the singing siren.
Good album Hope Sandoval preferred to shy away from the public eye. Which added more mystery to their music . She is so beautiful and in away was a good thing made her more likeable without knowing much

The first three tracks are so excellent that I would want the rest of the album to remain the same, but it did not unfortunately. Hope's singing is lazily beautiful, astonishingly breathtaking and quite catchy all the way.
The music is really good, but the vocals completely suck the emotion out of the songs. It's almost like she's deadpanning her vocals.
