Sometimes they remind me of ll cool j, sometimes early m.c. hammer, sometimes dj jazzy jeff & the fresh prince, but their rhymes are mostly a reflection of early-to-mid 80s rap, simple and direct, sometimes a little playful. Rob Base & E-Z Rock play well off each other. This album's mostly defined by their two hits (which i heard a lot in 1989) -- "it takes two" and "joy and pain".
