I have been a strong supporter of Kenny's albums throughout his career. I really love his take on Dylan's 'Everything Is Broken' and have included it in my 'top 100 Dylan covers' chart.

Surprisingly, the only weak track on this album is a tepid cover of Hendrix's "I Don't Live Today", where one would suspect that the young guitar prodigy would really soar, but Shepherd never shifts into second gear - let alone getting to overdrive. The remainder of the album holds more than enough thrills to compensate for that mis-step.

Some really great blues tunes, along with a good deal of filler. The guy can definitely wail with the best of them on guitar.

Some really great sounding blues rock. Some filler, too. "Blue On Black" is a sweet song.

Pretty solid blues rocker, but a definite step down from the previous album, mainly due to the fact that this album never manages to take off. Still well worth the time.
