A peng debut !
One of the best written albums I've ever heard. Unfortunately, despite the actual music being compelling (a cool mixture of noise pop and dream pop), there are a limited number of flourishes to make this record sound truly distinctive and therefore cannot keep up with the intelligent and extremely insightful lyrics.... ditto with the vocals which come across as pretty but a little bit one-dimensional and unnecessarily flat. Nonetheless, I have no qualms about calling this a proper peng debut, and I look forward to hearing more of their work.
