Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 64.7/100, a mean average of 64.4/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 64.4/100. The standard deviation for this album is 24.8.

A major sea change, even before going full electropop with 1989. Red is raw and wild with Swift embracing joy and despair with a nakedness that isn't in her first few albums. And as a sendoff to her country era, she's going out at the top of her powers while working out the kinks with the more clear-cut pop singles that really undermine this album--I'm sorry, but "I Knew You Were Trouble," "22," and "We Are Never Getting Back Together" just don't do anything for me, as much as I appreciate the attempt. It's a great album. Maybe her best.
A very different album from the ones that surround it on my charts, Red has many qualities that would normally get it knocked down a few notches. It's pretty self indulgent. At times I think it is lacking in self awareness. It's definitely infuriating in places. Is it any wonder, listening to this album, why Taylor Swift has struggled with romantic relationships? But having said all that, I find the songs on this album consistently good, emotionally resonant, impeccably written and performed, and above all, true. There is a lovely vulnerability to these songs about breakups and lost love and the magic of newfound romance that is undeniable. I was late arriving to the Taylor Swift party, but I'm glad I showed up.

Weird to now consider this as the most Overrated album in existience... but for the most part it's pretty solid despite her losing a bit of her songwriting personality as she inches closer to modern Max Martin pop, but pretty consistient till the eventual late-album bloat. Dear gawd, though, those attempts at marrying her typical kiss-off ballads with Skrillex posturing almost immediately dooms this to early-10's artifact status.
Another voting oddity, 1728th best album, but by rating over 9,800th!
amazıng album
I like Taylor. Long though.
My cousin is a huge Taylor Swift fan. I'm not, but this is a pretty good album.
She definitely gets increasingly poppy as far as her albums go...and I'm all about it. Each album has topped her previous one in my opinion. Even bonus tracks like The Moment I Knew are a hoot. Fun and sweet and innocent. I don't care if some people thing she's a corporation; I'm drinking the kool-aid.
taylor swift has gone down that path where she write songs to please people instead of a form of self-expression.
