I mostly liked the production, much of it jazzy. The rapping is hit and miss: sometimes too hurried, and I lost interest as they didn't really have much to say (unless you like unfunny comedy with your hip hop). Then sometimes the silliness works, as on "Ya Mama". Musically this album has some great parts, e.g. "On the DL" and "Passing Me By" while I felt they stumbled on the last few tracks. On balance, I still like the album a lot.
Very, very funny and massively creative. 9.5/10!
Fun jazz-rap album, clearly influential for groups like OutKast or even Danny Brown.
Hip hop has never been as joyful and fun as on this album.

Under rated 90s hip hop gem. When the gangser stuff gets old, and your wutang phase is over, this record should be your next step after Tribe.

Good energy. These guys are having fun. But they aren't the most skilled or thoughtful rappers of their time.
Colourful hip hop from the west. The Californian answer to the Native Tongues.
