Shortlisted for album of the year at the 1997 Mercury Music Prize. The winner was New Forms by Roni Size & Reprezent
"Wannabe" is their theme song, and a catchy novelty, but not something I would want to listen to very often. "Say You'll Be There" is without a doubt their best song, and one I would actually put in my playlist. I find "2 Become 1" to be kind of annoying. "Love Thing" and "Who Do You Think You Are" are kind of good-ish. Everything else is alright, not bad, just forgettable.

I can see where a lot of people hate everything about the spice girls from the way the group was formed to their pre-teen songs. However, it worked and for about two years they ruled the airwaves. I personally like Wannabe and 2 Become 1 the most.
