The quality of musicianship on this album blew me away on first listen. Not just the guitar soloing but also the driving rhythms provided by Simon Phillips and excellent keyboard contribution from Don Airey. There are hard rockin elements and quieter more melodic tracks which provide an overall balanced enjoyable listening experience. The choice of vocalist was a good one also as Bardens fits really well with the overall sound provided by the others. Great album!
A good but not a great record. Simon Phillip's tour de force on Lost Horizons together with Into The Arena are worth the price of admission on their own. Interesting how a UFO instrumental (Arbory Hill I think) becomes a fully blown song. Better was to come!

Oh Michael.. why are you such an underrated guitar player? You have been one of my greatest musical inspirations and this is one of the many albums that shows why. Solo at the end of Lost Horizons is mind-blowing.
