Uninteresting melodies and a lack of any sort of bold moves makes this a very forgettable album.

I recognize that the indie pop that love sign plays is very generic. That being said, it is also quite catchy. I feel very surprised I've ranked it as high as i have given how unremarkable it is as a whole; but listening to the individual tracks holds a fun bopper at nearly every turn. I understand when Pitchfork says "Free Energy offer nothing of themselves but the most obvious rhymes possible " -- this album could've been even better with a bit more personality and depth!
