For anyone not familiar with this album, it was recorded by various artists for the warchild charity over a 24 hour period in various locations and released a few days later. The CD doesnt even have the tracklisting on it as there was no time to print the song titles before its release. Some great contributions (mainly covers) by good bands on this, including the first outing for Lucky by Radiohead two years before OK computer was released. Also contains Paul McCartney, Paul Weller and Noel Gallagher doing Come Together, The Manic Street Preachers covering Raindrops Keep Fallin' on my Head, and my personal favourite on the album, The Charlatans and Chemical Brothers take on Sly and The Family Stone's Time for Livin'. The low Point of the album is Eine Kliene Lift Musik by Blur, They should feel ashamed that this is what they deemed acceptable to donate to a charity album, especially when you look at what Radiohead gave and allowed it to be released as a single with the proceeds going to charity.
