Still an above average album overall, but Leave in Silence is the only track I truly enjoy. (Edited)

I bought A Broken Frame by Depeche Mode on 03/04/1988 from Record & Tape Exchange on CD for £9.00 The version I have is on the record label Mute catalogue number INT 846.804 It entered the UK charts on 09/10/1982 and got to number 8 spending a total of 11 weeks on the chart.

A lot of "misses," but some stronger songs (though nothing memorable). Still, there are fragments of greatness that will appear on their future records. Some songs indicate a good sense of unusual rhyming or tastefulness in the soundscape. Overall, a reasonably good listen, but nothing essential. 8/10. (Edited)
