After 2011's "C'mon" with a more optimistic outlook they continue down a "lighter" feel than many would come to expect from this band. More of Mimi Parker's gorgeous harmonies feature on this album than any other of their previous nine. An underrated and perhaps overlooked record.
While I don't love it, it certainly is quite good. It could use a bit more variation and a couple of tracks feel too aimless, but the songs that standout more than make up for it.
Still need a few more listens to decide whether this is a great album but it's a definate contender. Best album of 2013 so far.
I think this is the best album of 2013 so far. "Just make it stop" sounds like a classic.
