Laura Mvula's debut is a welcome breathe of freshness different from Jill Scott & Erykah Badu, whom she lists as influences but there are some similarities. There is also a bit of Bjork in the orchestration. Not a bad track here the standout tracks being Sing To The Moon, Green Garden, She, What The Weather.. & Diamonds.
Spectacular debut album. Almost like hearing Nina Simone cover Pet Sounds. Highly recommended.
