The Sulphur Man is a wonder of production, such an open, expansive sound, widescreen, if you will. As much a part of the song's brilliance as the songwriting itself.

Good but somewhere around the middle the album loses direction and becomes unengaging.

Good album. With few bad tracks and ones like There Goes The Fear and The Sulphur Man this album is more than enough for any fans of Elbow.
