I wonder what happened to them. I blame the corporate music industry. I can sort of dig it.

An enjoyable indie rock album, giving instant, easy pleasure without ever trying to impress. Modest and catchy.

This album is everything I hoped it would be and more. I am in love with Born Ruffians, have been ever since I heard “Red, Yellow & Blue". They’ve got such a perfect balance of strange and fun. It can get goofy at times, but not too goofy so as it distracts from the music. Now, “What To Say", while I liked it, was a bit of a dip for them, not nearly as good as “Red, Yellow & Blue", but this album, ""Birthmarks", is close to, if not maybe as good as “Red, Yellow & Blue". I hate to put them on equal ground because “Red, Yellow & Blue" is such an incredible album, but man is this album good. The songs are catchy, they’re fun, and even at times fairly contemplative. It’s a great album.
