Most live albums on this site have low ratings because it does not contain new material. Often a live album is nothing more than a greatest hits collection. However, this is not the case for this album. In my opinion most of the Wings songs are live much better than the recorded version in the studio. This is really a must have for all music collections!
An enjoyable live album from Paul McCartney's successful U.S. tour. It features a few Beatles classics, amongst wings and solo songs. The acoustic sit down is my favourite part of the show, featuring, bluebird, the fab four's, I've just seen a face, and Paul Simon's, Richard Cory. It's not essential, like most live albums, but it is a lot of fun.

This was originally a triple album now on 2 CD's. A really good live album a band at the height of their Powers/popularity, they sound like a well oiled band not just a backing band for Paul McCartney. As sometimes happens with live albums, some of these songs sound better live than they did on the original albums.
With Frampton Comes Alive, one of the best live album you can find. Paul took some songs, like Venus and Mars/Rock Show, Maybe I'm Amazed, and gave them new life here. Long and Winding Road is so good on here. Actually all the songs he does from the Venus and Mars album, sound so much better on this album....Letting Go, Venus and Mars/ Rock Show, Magneto and Titanium Man, Medicine Jar, Spirits of Ancient Egypt, and even You Gave Me the Answer. The only 1 I prefer the studio version of is Listen to what the Man Said. Soily, Hi Hi Hi, Letting Go, Live and Let Die, all sound so good. Just wish he would have done Juniors Farm and left out Richard Cory or Call Me Back Again.
Never really got into Wings but this is a pretty good live album. So nice covers of Beatles songs as well as solo McCartney.
