Released 12 years after her snotty and bratty debut "Exile In Guyville", the 2005 release by Liz Phair shows the singer/songwriter demonstrating new maturity and embracing motherhood. Gone (mostly) are the caustic lyrics, replaced instead with celebrations of "Somebody's Miracle" - one supposes Phair is appreciating her offspring. While not as rousing as her debut, Phair does still have skills with melody and words. The polish of this production undercuts Phair's indie/garage band sound.
