I have never been a fan of Greek music, but this album is one of the very few exceptions. Even though I didn't have the chance to listen to it when it came out as I wasn't born yet, it still had a significant impact on me and today I find myself coming back to it.
For anyone interested in the band, it is not easy to classify them. They are usually listed as alternative rock or post punk, but I think that their sound is unique and doesn't fit in a particular genre. Especially characteristic are the vocals and that is why a lot of people have made fun of the singer, but for me they are a perfect match with the music. The lyrics also have a personal vibe. All in all, one should listen and judge by himself to check if this is close to his taste or not.
This is the album that mainly contributed to the fame of the band. Up to that point they were somewhat obscure.
I have to say that the first 4 tracks are definitely stronger than the rest. In fact, I consider the first part one of the greatest sequences of songs that I have listened. This doesn't mean that tracks 5 to 9 are weak, just a little bit below the first part. Picking a single song is a tough task, I would pick the opening track (Δεν χωράς πουθενά) , as it sets the tone for the whole album.
