Unbelievably 44 years on from its release and undoubtedly high time to re-assess Chaka Khan's musical career. Considering the history of Soul Music, it is probably all too easy to get stuck in the sixties, and early 1970s. i was a lot of very good Disco Music around too, in the early eighties, and Khan was undoubtedly one of its queens. This is very good soul music, and soul/funk fans would be unwise to miss out on this album. It quickly overcomes the disappointing cover of the Lennon & McCartney classic and moves on with energy & class. It is fast, furious and, overall, it exudes a content of very high quality.
