Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 68.7/100, a mean average of 67.7/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 68.3/100. The standard deviation for this album is 16.5.

Well Blink starts out strong on their first album... should have just stopped at 12 tracks though. You might find the last few funny if you're 14, I guess. But whatever, music is all digital now and you can get what you want. Carousel and M+Ms are the highlights here, and are good enough to be on their Greatest Hits album. But later albums would prove to be better...

It may have taken them a couple of albums before they hit the big time but all the ingredients are already there and on show on this debut

This album succeeds at being exactly what blink was setting out to make, crappy punk rock, and it's great, but their albums only get better from here (downhill after Neighborhoods sadly)

With their debut, Blink-182 immediately declared themselves to the world. They never strayed too far from the sound they created for themselves with "Cheshire Cat". It's not innovative musically and lacks variety, but I love the humour of it all. I found it so easy to relate to Tom and Mark's quirkiness and immaturity, and I'm happy I was able to grow up listening to Blink-182. This album is the definition of Blink-182. It encapsulates their fast-paced immature humour and it is clear that they are having fun with their music. They never take themselves too seriously and they seem like they are truly enjoying themselves with each track. Their best songs aren't on this album, but overall it is great. "M+M's" and "Touchdown Boy" are among my all-time favourite Blink songs.

Blink's debut album laid a pretty strong groundwork for the style they would cultivate over the years...Carousel and Touchdown Boy stand up against their best tracks overall
