On this album Grant Hart creates his own version of a dense Spectorian wall of sound where organs, frantic drumming and that great Grant Hart voice are falling over each other’s feet. This is best exemplified in the long A Letter from Anne Marie in which he engages in a relentless groove which is glorious in its repetitiveness. RIP Grant Hart.
