It's consistent throughout, but I pretty much agree with paladisiac's comment. I'm really glad she upped her game for her debut LP "Take Me Apart" which I strongly recommend.
"Cut 4 Me" is an impressive debut from Kelela which succeeds because of her lyrical ability as well as the neat production which ties in alternative R&B and nightclub influences. Kelela's vocals are also competent, however there's something missing... the record as a whole feels somewhat bloodless and rudimentary which separates Kelela from the top-tier of electronic/alternative R&B artists like Solange, James Blake or FKA twigs. Nevertheless, it is a record worth paying some attention to.

Good, dubstep-like production, but lyrics and vocals aren't that compelling for this album that's following the new alt-r&b model as weeknd that has become so indie-popular.
