Hawkwind goes pop, and make some of their tighter songs. Spirit of The Age, Danmnation Alley and the title track are some of the best pieces they ever wrote. Robert Calvert brought a greater literary sci fi sophistication with his witty lyrics and brought New wave before it made a wave. A criminally underrated masterpiece.

This album was the blue print for alternative rock for the 80s and up. Punk Jazz at its finest

1967 was the ground zero of psychedelic rock, but Arthur Lee and Co were already inventing Baroque Pop to notice. Some of the most haunting, poetic pieces of music ever recorded, not one song on this album is below a B. Where as a lot of music of this era sounds dated, Forever Changes does not.

A Beautiful swirl of psychedelic noise, electronic tribal rhythms, primordial polyrhythmic pandemonium, controlled chaos of cacophony, this is the sound which summons spaceships of the elder gods.

Holy Bible is a masterpiece but its the nihilistic autobiography of a suicide note. Everything Must Go, though still cynical, has at its core a deep desire to escape the melancholy of human experience, and embrace the new day with a fresh air. The Ghost of Richie lives, in the music, and there's a peace there that he probably would never found in this life. The Zenith of the Manics.

Although I love Metal, Prince and this album nullifies that allegiance without reservation. Its funk dance masterpiece, songs like Delirious and Lets Pretend Were Married want to make you dance until the end of the world. The title track alone is a delicious taste of 80s. Even the longer cuts like Lady Cab Driver never out stay their welcome. Your can keep your purple rain, I'll have my 1999.

Never has an album title been more apt. Its raw rage measured with primal animal power. Iggy sounds like a demon cut loose and out for blood. If ever your want to listen to an album while wanting to destroy the world this is the albums for you. Its the ultimate rush, of pure Raw Fucking Power

Dark Side has a lot going for it, but its a monolith of sound without heart and soul. This being a tribute to Syd Barret, has his ghost hiding behind every instrument and passage. As I have growing older I have drifted from Floyd, this is the only album that has value.

90s P-Funk mixed with dirty southern hip hop. What's Not to love. Add that every song feels like its a part of a greater narrative and you got gold . Andre is the balloon that wants to float into the freedom of the heavens , Big Boi keeps the string that stays grounded. together they produce a masterpiece of awesomness

Its flawed, slightly too long and the audio fidelity is scratchy and staticky, but its those flaws that give it the greater impact. Its a dark brooding masterpiece of existential angst the best ever put to music, its grunge before grunge became a book of clichés. Rage to last a lifetime
