A decent album. Nothing really floors me here. But also there were no unlistenable turn-offs either.
Makes for a decent debut, spawning a few hit songs for 3 Doors Down, such as "Kryptonite" and "Be Like That". But outside of those two, it's just above average at best.

Not awful. Average post-grunge rock.
Despite many of the songs sounding the same, The Better Life manages to entertain.

A few really good songs. A few pretty bad ones. Pretty average.

People often make the mistake of comparing 3 Doors Down with the post-grunge crappers like Nickelback and Hoobastank, but if you actually listen to the album, you'll see that it's actually more like a heavier, poppier version of REM's Automatic For the People.
