My favourite MSP album, I like its punky energy, played this one to death when it first came out.
Distinctly average in places but it has its moments. There are some catchy and uplifting tunes like From Despair to Winere and Roses in the Hospital. Some fairly meat and potatoes stadium rock as well. They did this sort of thing more consistently well on Everything Must Go.
Great album for running. I get a lot of energy from it.
The lyrics are amazing, the work of Richey is more obvious than on Generation Terrorists. This album in particular seems to go unnoticed by some MSP fans, which is a bit unfair in my eyes, because I think it's one of their best, second only to The Holy Bible.
