Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 70.6/100, a mean average of 69.6/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 70.5/100. The standard deviation for this album is 13.7.

The title suggested that this was gonna be a radical shift in style, but it's more like a wistful look back over their glory years and I'm glad for it. They've done a lot of soundtracking in the past few years and this sounds like a cleaner, more TV-ready Mogwai than usual.

Best track: Heard About You Last Night. It builds up nicely, then it calms down again. Then it gets a little sinister towards the end.

Bon album ,pas le meilleur de ce groupe cependant car certains morceaux sont un cran en dessous de ce que Mogwai peut faire. Préférence pour le premier morceau.

Amazing album! I feel they still have a lot more to give. Les Revenants was much more subtle, this does have quite a bit more power.

Consistently good enough for me to like it, however a bit too forgettable in my opinion.
