The best produced hip hop album ever. Common's voice is also incredible. Kanye does is again.

Followed the blueprint set by Illmatic. The only album with Kanye's touch that I can stand listening from front to back. One of the finest hip hop albums ever released in my opinion.

Shakes head. Why do I now appreciate Kanye productions? Why have I "slept on" Common for all these years, knowing full well how great his voice and style is? No idea but I do know that (apart from the odd dodgy lyric, it's rap music after all) this is a fine record. Possibly better than resurrection.

Really cool and fun album. It seems like the best way to describe it is that its got a lot of life to it.

Be is Common's best album and one of the best albums of its year. The title track has a more complex beat than you'll usually find, with a gradual development uncommon to hip-hop songs. No weak track, and very consistently good beats and verses make for a great album.
