An incredibly strong concept album. Every element flows together beautifully. Ten fire tracks, smooth flow, socially conscious lyrics, historical context, originality in bundles, and a masterful, varied, and tasteful production makes for an undeniable classic. 9.5/10!

Good album a bit too long though. The 6th Sense is one of the best hip hop songs of all time

Common represents the streets, but he shows a different response to them. Instead of everything being about money, hos and violence, he wraps about struggling, moving forwards, and love. He gives a respectful vibe. His lyrics are intelligent and focused on growth. It also doesn't hurt that his flow is smooth, his voice is distinctive and clear, and his backing beats and loops give this album a soulful feel. His best.
