i love the new approach they brought to this album, I listened to that in 2014 at the airplane going to Poland to stay a year there, it’s a memory I can’t forget
Un álbum olvidable con algunos buenos momentos, "O" tiene un genial arreglo de piano y junto a "Magic" y "Midnight" son lo mejor del disco, el resto es un poco cursi y falto de variedad, manteniendo la misma formula de canciones pop.
A really good album, quite dreamy and ethereal in parts. The drums are recorded quite forward in the mix and sound like a drum machine (which it could actually be) at times, this isn't a criticism, I actually like it. 'Magic' and 'True Love' are personal favourites. My third Coldplay album purchase.
I enjoyed the first 4 tracks, but after that with the exception of Sky Full of Stars it was very boring and forgettable.

I wonder if those people that have gave this album such a low rating have actually listened to it. Some very beautiful moments here, and it's actually a good listen.
But I guess people in this site will just hate modern popular bands no matter what, and just keep worshiping alt indie bands.
Probably would hate The Beatles if they lived in the 60s, for being too "pop" and "overplayed"...

El mejor disco de Coldplay de su decadente década 2010s.
This is the best Coldplay release of the last decade, but still not as good as the first four albums. The songs feel more sincere than on any other release since Mylo Xyloto, but is heavily centred around Sky Full of Stars with the long winded ending of Oceans heading towards the beginning of Sky Full of Stars. This commercial song is my main obstacle for playing this record.
I only own 2 albums by Coldplay (this one and X&Y) and I am not a fan of the band at all. I really can't stand X&Y, I think it is boring and lame, but "Ghost Stories" is a good album to me. I think it is very well done, all the songs fit together and you can feel it's a solid album, well balanced and put together nicely. I won't rate it higher than 7 because it is not something I will listen very often (not my style), but this is a good album, very innovative and expertly crafted.
Why does this album have 59/100? Every track is good(even Sky Full of Stars isn't that bad). Come on, it might not be close to match Coldpalys earlier work, but this album is so chil . Ink and Always in my Head are the best. Worth the listen, not the hate.
