A fantastic retrospective of one of the most amazing vocal groups of all time - The Four Tops! The vocal arrangements by member Lawrence Payton, the incomparably gritty and emotional lead singing of Levi Stubbs, the bass bottom by Renaldo "Obie " Benson, and the only surviving Top Abdul Fakir who held it all together - these were all evident on everything the quartet recorded and can all be heard here on these 25 selections. A superb desert island disc that everyone should own. The Supremes and The Temptations got most of the Motown accolades, but the Four Tops were the best Motown group in my book.
