Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 63.9/100, a mean average of 63.4/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 63.4/100. The standard deviation for this album is 19.1.

A solid but a kind of repetitive album without bangers and evolution of their music. For fans, perhaps this is good

With this dismal release I'm sure many of us were missing Bon Scott. Same repetitive formula that continues through to & including Power Up.

Bom conjunto de músicas de rock. É melhor do que muitos falam! O maior problema dele e vir na sequencia de grandes clássicos, ma sé bem bom!

Maybe it needs a lot of rotation, but so far for me the most "average" album AC/DC made.

Very under rated album. A lot more rawer in quality as production was done by the band hence it hasn't got the polished sound of 'Back in Black' or 'For those about to Rock'. Nevertheless, it's got some great songs on it. Last great album they done in my opinion. Other albums after it had a few good songs but way to much filler. This rocks right through.

According to me the best AC/DC w/ Brian Johnson album after Back In Black, even better than For Those About Rock. Extremely underrated, the most powerful AC/DC album you'll ever listen to.

Favorite Song: Nervous Shakedown. A powerful song with a legendary guitar riff and led by Johnson's rage and frustration

Best Songs: Guns For Hire; Landslide; Flick of the Switch

AC/DC set out to recapture their rawness with Flick of the Switch and I feel that they did that. Its worth a second look after it seemed to be somewhat dismissed at the time of its release. There is some really good stuff on this.

I get it, this album isn't for everyone. It has absolutely zero diversity and most of the songs would sound the same to a first time listener, but it grows on you over time. One thing this album doesn't lack is energy and badass-ery, though; there's plenty to go around.

Guns for Hire is one of the best post-Back in Black songs, too.

It's okay. Probably the second best AC/DC album of the eighties after, back in black, but to be honest there isn't too much competition. Just about acceptable.

A Steady Little Rocker Non Stop AC/DC doing what they do only criticism is each track very much alike a better listen than its predecessor though.
