The one to start with is their best, "Just For Love." "Shady Grove" has its merits too.
I simply don't hear what the people praising this one hear. The Airplane, the Dead, Fairport, any number of truly great bands stunk their first time in a studio, and this was no different.

Pretty awful; first trip to the studio stuff. "Pride Of Man" was an important song to a lot of people, but even it was a rather poor take. I hung on to this for far too long, but eventually the batteries run flat on your 60's nostalgia, ya know?

Really good psychedelic rock. Very much in line with the rest of the scene at the time. Not as original as some others but technically sound. They're at their best on the extended jams where they can delve into some uniqueness I think.

A great album with no faults as far as I can tell.
Their best!
Definitely Quicksilver's best. It epitomizes the San Francisco sound of the 67-68 era, along with JA's Surrealistic Pillow. Very little to not like with this album.

Mejor de lo que esperaba, me agrada la vibra de finales de los sesenta que posee, así como la experimentación y psicodelia que caracterizaba a los Estados Unidos durante esa época.
An album which epitomises the sound of 60's psychedelia in San Fransico. 'Light Your Windows' is a personal favourite along with the instrumental 'Gold and Silver', the latter of which makes the album for me. San Fransico in the 60's must have been an amazing experience.
