Sure, this project from hot chip members remotely sounds like hot chip, but not really. It's a lot more abstract in a 90s ambient/techno kind of way. First track immediately reminds me of psychosonik, and maybe even front 242 and wishdokta if you mellowed out their aggresive approaches. So there's some sentimental value in these longplayers for me. They mix simple swaths of synthesizer and computer programming in a way cut copy sometimes does (think "sun god"). Unfortunately, it's a bit too subtle to offer any grand slams, but these tracks would easily fit in any 90s-10s IDM mix and hold their own.
