The best 2Pac record hands down. Jail ruined him and led him to his death. All Eyez On Me isn't a bad record of course, it's just way too long and way too gangster oriented compared to this. 2Pac would have made a better self-reflective rapper with just a tiny bit of bravado or "thug" as people say. He should've left the full on gangster themes to Kool G Rap, Scarface, Ice Cube and Biggie. This record was fire. Some filler but not as much as his other records. (Edited)

i love the vibe of this album, which keeps bringing me back. its one of the most real rap albums by an artist ever. i feel like i am going through that struggle with makaveli every time i hear dear mama. they all have an underground chill rap vibe, but the beats bang. its a near perfect 90's style rap album. it is so catchy from song to song, and no matter what situation you are in, you could probably put this album on. playing video games, it works. late night driving, it works. playing basketball, it works. its long but not too long. Tupac Shakur the goat. 90.667/100
A classic album whose only weakness is too much filler on the second half. If the filler was stripped, this might be the single greatest album in the history of Hip Hop.
2Pac's delivery somehow brings an honesty and calmness not seen in many rappers. He seems to be a deeper thinker and his understanding of perspectives allows his voice to emote shades of complex philosophical feelings and dilemmas that place him to the top of the rap game.
The albums top notch production, the fusion of multiple styles, and the multitude of hits helps to make this album one of the greatest. 9.5/10! (Edited)

The title track, So Many Tears & Dear Mama are what make this his best. Dear Mama is in my opinion the greatest rap song ever made. This album is a journey into his world is unlike any other.

I like Pac's lyricism and delivery on this album. Not as big a fan of the beats/production.
