Had to throw this in...I go back and forth with Martha, sometimes she leaves me cold, sometimes the interpretations are too fast, but this Liszt Sonata is amazing, really beautiful. There is a youtube video of her playing the octaves from this piece, how does she do it? The Prokofiev toccata is equally amazing as is the Ravel "Jeux D'eau" the only problem with this release is that much of the music is what you play in high school,(although few high school age pianists including myself would not be playing at this level) not sure why they picked these pieces (with the exception of the Liszt and Prokofiev)also the piano is slightly out of tune. She should have taken out the Brahms, the Barcarolle and the 'Hungarian Rhapsody" and replace those with Bach's "English Suite" and Beethoven's "Hammerklavier".
In case you are interested, the Prokofiev is Track 4 and the Liszt is very long, tracks 8 to 18. But, for people who want a once in a generation coupling of performer /piece, this Liszt is a recording that you will carry with you for the rest of your life.
