Not bad, but in 79’ better albums have Rainbow, Pink Floyd, Joy Division, Cure, Wire, Tangerine Dreams, Omega, ELO, Eloy, Zappa, Faithfull, Madness, Hawkwind, Stranglers
Parallel lines was always going to be hard to follow but she's done a fine job with this. Majority of tracks are in the same caliber. Apart from the hits, 'Accidents never Happen', 'Union City Blue', 'Living in the Real World' and the title track could grace a best of album. A few in the filler category but overall, solid effort (Edited)

I don't know what it is about this album. I am a fan the first album of theirs that I owned was Plastic Letters 85/100 then came Parallel Lines also 85/100 and that brings me to this Eat To The Beat it just doesn't do it for me too many lows compared to the high points of the album Atomic, Dreaming, Union City Blue & Slow Motion are great. Victor, Shayla, The Hardest Part & Sound Asleep are really quite average compared to tracks on the previous two albums. Autoamerican (85/100) was a big step forward much more varied and musically progressive.
Not a bad album up to the last 3 tracks not so keen, all the hits are great here.
