Not as iconic as FFFRV, but they are keeping the same high quality hardcore punk.
Masterpiece. Brilliant lyrics, joyous up tempo on crack tunes. I've had this album for over 30 years, still play it on a regular basis and it never fails to let me down. Only song that lets it down is 'Dead End' but overall one of the greatest punk albums. Ever!!!
Great combination of title and cover
Great album! This was my intro to Dead Kennedys years back and I've never looked back.
This album is awesome in every aspect.
The musicianship is far better and inventive than almost pretty much other punk bands ever. The bass-drum section drives the band like a locomotive while East Bay Ray surf style twang really stands out with a lot of resources. It never gets boring nor just some play to fill the sound up. And of course Jello is a charismatic frontman that really takes his intelligent lyrics through the band and directly to you.
Every song deals with some decadent aspect of our materialistic and egocentric culture. It was released in 82 and more than 30 years later it's still valid and fresh as morning news.
I know a lot of people wouldn't like this raw and primal style record but IMHO everyone should give this an unprejudiced listening with the lyrics at sight at least once.

A brilliant record.A rare case of full throttle, hardcore punk displaying phenomenal musicianship. And the songwriting does a brilliant job of giving the whole record the theme of a scathing attack on middle class yuppy existence. Great stuff!
My favorite Dead Kennedys album.

brilliant from start to end ! very different from Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables, but at least as good. This must be higher in the overall chart !
I like how all the songs seem to be mini storys/points of view. It's really tongue in cheek too which makes it fun! Brilliant guitars too!
