Could have sworn I rated this before. Better late than never. Revisiting this after some years, it's sinking in better than it did at first. Punchy production and tender songwriting. Al Green is as commanding a presence as anyone without being larger than life. He grounds these songs, lending immediacy that makes each track truly come alive.

Lovely soul album from Al Green. The timeless title track is absolutely beautiful and there's plenty of other strong songs on this great record. He made some fine albums in the seventies. This is one of them.

It's Al Green: smooth, soulful voice, great songs. I might even like his version of "How Can You Mend..." better.

One of the greatest Soul albums ever produced, so much depth and character. This album is a masterpiece!
