OK, so this is quite the odd one. It's a concept album of various roots music done in an electronic style. It's all home studio recordings with very odd lyrics, some of which reference the genre-clash concept. It seems like almost every song is a different traditional style - country, blues, bluegrass, Irish folk, Russian folk, marching songs, sea shanties, Victorian music hall. And there are all sorts of electronic music styles from disco to IDM. Sometimes it's not a particularly good listen though, I didn't add any of them to my Momus playlist except for 'Pigmalism' which pretty much abandons the concept anyway. Although as a web designer, I will certainly share 'Finnegan The Folk Hero' [of HTML] with my team.
