Definitely his most normal and musically consistent album. It's all perfectly acceptable lush synth-pop like The Pet Shop Boys or The Beloved. But there is none of the quirky perverted lyrics, and they are low in the mix so difficult to make out, just a relaxing meditative soft voice, but they do seem to be still be poetic and literate. It all leaves me a bit cold, I find it quite bland. In the attempt to be commercial, it loses the elements that make him special. Title track 'Voyager' is probably the highlight, the most uplifting and poppy, though I also liked 'Spacewalk' as it was the most experimental musically. 'Vocation' is quite catchy.
