Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 7% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 75.7/100, a mean average of 75.4/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 75.7/100. The standard deviation for this album is 12.8.

This is the best their album in career
Logo após a maior fase deles, mas ainda em boa fase. Esse álbum poderia ser mais valorizado.
Goats Head Soup is a bit overlooked by some because it does drop off a bit compared to the 4 excellent records that came out before it, but I think there's plenty to like here. Side A is particularly strong. The second half isn't quite on the same level, but Winter and Star Star are both great Stones songs. Heartbreaker and Angie are classics.
This is quite a bland and boring release in my opinion. I struggle to get into most of the songs and find them all to be very similar making the album very repetitive. It just doesn't add anything new to the table for me and like they a have lost their experimentation and edge a little. Also, I never really seem to immerse myself in the music as my mind is being distracted as I can't find anything to keep me that engaged. There is obviously moments of magic on here though as it is the Stones. The song Angie is an obvious exception along with a few other cuts on the record. There is also some great performances scattered throughout the album but it isn't incredibly consistent. Furthermore, I think the last 4 tracks are all filler and could be cut which would make the album more enjoyable. Overall, this isn't a bad record but it isn't anything special and if it wasn't released by this group I don't think it would be as well known as it is.
One of my favourite Stones albums. No weak tracks for me and more consistent than Sticky Fingers.
Angie and 100 Years are highlights but not much more on here, not half as great as Exile, Sticky Fingers or even Let It Bleed.
I like this album , the songs are reasonably good. It doesn,t have the creative edge that the four previous albums had.
gems like 100 years ago, and winter, carry this album
Mon album préféré des Stones. J'en entends déjà dire "Et Let It Bleed, Et Exile onMain st.", oui admettons, mais cet album est le premier Stones que j'ai écouté et ces celui qui m'a fait aimer leur musique.
Probably the most underrated Stones record, not a single dull song. My only real complaint is what the hell is an awesome album like this doing with such an awful cover like that?
Best song(s): 100 Years Ago; Coming Down Again; Doo Doo Doo Doo(Heartbreaker); Angie; Can You Hear the Music
