This album came somewhat out of nowhere for me. I first heard of Bronze Radio Return when they were scheduled to be the opening band ahead of Lord Huron and Joseph Arthur at an eTown Hall performance in Boulder, so I picked up their album to get a sense of their sound before the show. Turned out they never played (and I never heard an explanation of why), but I wound up really liking this album. In general it's affable, tightly performed pop Americana with slick production, but the song "All In" transcends the genre. Or at least, it embodied exactly the sentiment I was feeling at the time, as I was about to drop everything--my career, social network, everything--to start a new life with my sweetheart in Colorado: "I'm gonna take these rocks and turn 'em into diamonds / Sell 'em on the corner / Bring the money home to you."

A lot of hard work happens in the background to keep BEA running, and it's especially difficult to do this when we can't pay our hosting fees :(
