Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 71.2/100, a mean average of 69.7/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 71.1/100. The standard deviation for this album is 16.9.

I don't think anyone mentioned this Another great entry into their discography. I'd say it's probably their weakest since the self-titled or maybe on par with SNW but it's still a very enjoyable release, they continue the shoegaze dream pop stuff from Koi No Yokan but with slightly less satisfying…

Underrated. It's crazy to hear a guitar solo in a Deftones song, but Phantom Bride works and it's my favourite track on the album. Other highlights are Gore and Prayers/Triangles.

Not a bad album by any means. This is Deftones moving forward, and never making the same album twice. The production can be hard to stomach at times as it is quite abrasive, but I understand it’s intentional and certainly distinguishes it further from their previous two efforts. Not as solid or as pleasant as it’s predecessors, with fewer standouts, but very much worth exploring. Is fairly consistent in its sound.

Standout tracks: Hearts/wires, Acid Hologram
