New Age sound, is quite airy and compelling at times..

The songwriting improves rapidly with succeeding releases. Thabkfully, they realized they didn't need to be so minor. 'Blind Dumb Deaf' is fine. The sound is so compact here; what they needed was somewhere to echo.
At this stage the Siouxsie & The Banshees influence is coming through too strong to be the truly unique band that they would go on to become.
The lush Cocteau Twins sound had yet to mature. This one's reedy and forgettable.

oblique and hypnotic songs which sound like simple minds on heavy drugs. the singer has a yodeling voice - in my ears it sounds unprofessional.
Their sound is unique. I quite like bands which allow the bass to have a big role.
