Good sound, they play well and while I don't like the vocals I can appreciate what they are doing a little. It's not about what I dislike from this album that brings it down, its what I find missing in its vibe.
On any given day this album is my absolute favorite. The Blasters is, in a word, rock n' roll (ok, that's three). Excepting Elvis, Little Richard and Jerry Lee...this is the truest form of the art form. Dave Alvin can flat write a great song, and Phil is THE VOICE. Dude can belt. And Marie Marie might be one of the great swing tunes ever. A MUST!
