The first time I heard Neko Case was on Terry Gross' "Fresh Aire" program in 2007. they played "margaret and Pauline" from her "fox confessor" album. I was blown away by her voice, I had never heard anything like it. Her voice gave me goosebumps. I bought the album and really liked it. It made perfect sense that Garth Hudson played on that album. I recognized his musical flourishes. The down side was that her band was not nearly as good as her voice. She needed to get a better band.

One of the most amazing voices going right now. She's like the offspring of Patsy Cline and Loretta Lynn. Amazing.
