David Bowie back after 10 years and he's still doing great. "The Next Day" is more like yesterday's music. Retrospective glimpses of his long wide-ranging music career with probably "Heat" as the song that best links back to the album from which the artwork is "stolen". Amazing how his voice never grows old!

Nepenthe provided by Julianna Barwick. You might call it a second magic place and another time to look into your own mind. As an addition to her beyond eargasmic choral vocals loop thingy, you also get to hear a string quartet and one song with audible lyrics.

Tomorrow seems to harvest sick times on a cold earth. The future's not too bright! Haunting stuff.

Hazy visions of all these things happening. More ambient and "futuristic" than their almost purely acoustic debut. Bright and uplifting, at the same time a melancholic reminder that everything we see will turn to dust!

Here comes the night time for Arcade Fire with a wide-ranging, ambitious album that both reflects the fun disco and some darker, atmospheric music with profound themes such as the afterlife. Not exactly how you know Arcade Fire, but interesting double album nonetheless.

Lose yourself to dance! If you're out to get lucky and you're listening to this, then I can assure that you're doin' it right. Inspired disco-revival and highly ambitious. A great comeback for Daft Punk!

Shoegaze wonder 2 by My Bloody Valentine ("Isn't Anything" also had some good stuff on it). Basically another "Loveless", just in a slightly different way. 22 years after their masterpiece and still in top shape!

Will surely convert any nightmare to the most blissful, comforting dream you ever had. One movie-lengthy warm hug of an album!

More constant than the Gods, especially if you believe there hasn't existed one in the first place, this could very well go down in history as a doom metal classic. Epic and intense with Godly violins and a moving female voice, all making it something that truly belongs up there with the holy, unknown faces!

Vampire Weekend steps onto darker and maturer ground with slow-paced songs and choral arrangements, but without losing their knack for infectious, delightfully catchy songwriting. A wider array of what Vampire Weekend are capable of!
