This is a response to Mercury's chart on the same subject.
After the Dylans, the Cohens, the Youngs, the Mitchells et al, what does it mean to be a singer/songwriter today? How does one go about this trade and make good albums? This is my attempt at an answer.
Chrono order, 80-100/100 LPs only. One album per artist.
No records sung in French, check out my French chart if you will.
To be completed as the 10s prove themselves the new golden age of singer-songwriters.

Another great chart for recs. After looking at yours meccas and mercs charts on this topic I went ahead and did one. although as opposed to yalls, i realised one of my natural rules was to exclude "Bands" hence no Eels, etc. not sure why, it just happened that way.

Chronological, then akphabetical, orders put oseph ArTHur first. You've probably heard "In the Sun" from him.

Mercury, I just started mine. Been painting my apartment and getting slammed with work on the side, but you'll see something soonish I think.

The cool kids don't rate charts, I'm however not one of the cool kids.
Anyway, this is great! There's some overlap but a surprisingly small amount. And there are so many things to check out here!
Also you pointed out some artists I should not have overlooked like Lisa Germano, Mac Demarco, and others.
And I'm happy to see TMOE. :)

interesting. I was caught off guard seeing bachelor no 2. could've sworn that was a 90s release. and maybe now I'll finally give Vincent Gallo a listen.
odd note: My buddies from NØMADS have been in My Brightest Diamond, so that was cool to see as well.
